Maynard Art Show: Imagine the challenge of photographing a sunrise or sunset. On the one hand, you have so many opportunities – 16 sunrises and 16 sunsets every day! On the other hand, they happen so quickly. A sunset progresses thru such an incredible range of color, from blindingly bright yellow, through deep reds, oranges and so many gradations of blue, on to the unimaginably black vacuum of space. And then poof, you’re flying over the nightlights of cities. 46 minutes later, the reverse drama of sunrise. An astronaut needs a bit of Zen to photograph this burst of beauty with calmness.
